Get ready to vote

Make sure you and the people you know are enrolled to vote by 12th August to make voting easier.

By ensuring you, your friends, family and allies are enrolled and ready to vote, we can pressure politicians to take the bold steps and make the big decisions we need.  Voting is so much easier if they enrol before 12th August.

Here's how we can activate our community to vote:
  1. Bring the team together - Think of a couple of people you know from your family, whānau, neighbours and friends.
  2. Talk it out - Have a chat with them about #voteclimate and why it's important that everyone puts Climate Change first in this election
  3. Get ready for action - Check if they (or yourself) received an enrolment pack (orange envelope from the Electoral Comminssion) around the 7th July:
    • If you did, and all the details are correct, you're all enrolled
    • If you did, but the details are incorrect then the corrections will need to be sent back before 12th August via the pre-paid envelope
    • If you didn't receive a pack then chances are you aren't enrolled or you've moved since they last voted. Let's get enrolled!
  4. Enrolling a new voter and changing details
    • If you're unsure if you are enrolled. or need to update details then go hereYour details can be updated using a New Zealand driver licence, New Zealand passport or RealMe verified identity.
    • If you can’t enrol online, you can enrol or update your details in other ways here

Great work! Don't forget to sign-up to get all the updates. We'll be in touch again with Phase 2 soon. This will include information on which candidates support our four asks and want to take climate action.
